16,5++ Punkte 2020 IM SONNENSCHEIN Riesling GG
»Vibrant nose of green vegetation. But fuller on the palate than the Ganz Horn with dry stoniness. Bone-dry finish. Determinedly not luscious but lean andrefreshing. Still quite chewy on the end. An ambitious wine that verges onausterity at the moment. Not that long.« (MS)
16,5++ Punkte 2020 KASTANIENBUSCH Riesling GG
»Rich, complex, layered nose that suggests much more substance than either the Ganz Horn or the Im Sonnenschein, though this wine shares with its stablematesa high level of acidity. Embryonic and for the moment quite demanding but itmay well shine eventually.« (MS)
16,5+ Punkte 2020 GANZ HORN Riesling GG
»Notably pale straw. Smells of flowers and popcorn! Much lighter and lessconcentrated than the Mosbacher wines I have just been tasting with notableacidity and flirtatiousness. Marked acidity suggests keeping this wine awhile beforeopening. Some floral notes and still very embryonic.« (MS)
16,5 Punkte 2020 IM SONNENSCHEIN Weißer Burgunder GG
»Pale golden straw. Much more white pepper on the nose than most WeisserBurgunders, intensely aromatic! Excellent acidity. Really sleek and fleet of foot.Serious German Pinot Blanc but nothing like as ambitious as Querciabella's Batàr! No obvious oak influence. I think if I were given this blind, I would first of allguess it was German and then flail around trying to guess the grape variety. Notmuch of the sweetcorn often evident in Weisser Burgunder.« (MS)

18,5 Punkte 2017 IM SONNENSCHEIN Riesling GG
»Opulence can win competitions; but vibrancy wins hearts, noses and palates. The first thing that strikes you is the freshness of its fragrance - a perfect mix of local fruit and garden herbs. A little less abundant in its sweet generosity on the palate than its Rebholz siblings. It allows acidity and minerality a look-in, which makes it that little bit more interesting.« (MS)
18+ Punkte 2017 GANZ HORN Riesling GG
»It's an old cliché that sometimes less can be more. I find the relative delicacy of citrus and stone fruit sprinkled with a dusting of Herbes de Provence marginally preferable to some of Rebholz's more powerful Grosse Gewächse. Even in its sweetness it is a little gentler.« (MS)
18 Punkte 2017 KASTANIENBUSCH Riesling GG
»The 2016 earned some rave reviews from top German wine guides and the 2017 matches its predecessor in terms of generosity of luscious fruit and profound herbal expression. With such incredible extract one hardly dares ask whether it needs to be quite so sweet.« (MS)

17,5 Punkte - 2013 RIESLING vom Buntsandstein trocken
»Since our infamous Aussie-German dry Riesling taste-off, I have learned to appreciate that the Buntsandstein takes a little longer to develop its inherent mineral intricacies. The sandstone soil adds smoky, peppery and salty notes to the ubiquitous Pfalz stone fruit character. Firm, powerful and with sound acidity to add longevity, this is not far off Grosses Gewächs quality.«
17 Punkte - 2013 RIESLING vom Muschelkalk trocken
»Still a little under the influence of spontaneous herbaceousness, the Muschelkalk of 2013 adds the tang of lime fruit to a solid salty presence. Uncompromisingly dry and with a racy acidity, but mainly minerality "ante portas".«
16 Punkte - 2013 RIESLING trocken
»Like many of its contemporary estate trocken colleagues, Rebholz's 2013 entry level trocken is a little more demanding that its predecessors. The fruit is firmer and crunchier, the acidity certainly authentic and the salty minerality quite pronounced. Solid rock!«

18,5 Punkte - 2012 GANZ HORN - IM SONNENSCHEIN Riesling GG
»A fresh citrus fruit aroma finds expression in a mouthwatering flavour of grapefruit and mandarin, partnered by a lip smacking salty minerality. On the mid palate we experience a great harmony of body, fruit and acidity, and a long finish the Ganz Horn excels with a zesty sparkle of flavours. Lively, complex and elegant, one of the greats of 2012.«
